We completed a successful Source to Pay (S2P) project for\u00a0a leading North American\u00a0industrial products manufacturer, in partnership with Argo Consulting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n With a network of 100 + sites and a single ERP in place, the client\u00a0faced several challenges in\u00a0operating\u00a0its S2P model, such as high operational costs, decentralized processes, and a lack of overall visibility.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Through a comprehensive Assessment phase, we pinpointed key improvement opportunities in their S2P Operating Model, focusing on People, Processes, Technology, and Governance. By analyzing their spending and understanding the nuances of their business processes, we conducted a Maturity Assessment and gap analysis. We also\u00a0facilitated\u00a0an S2P envisioning workshop to align the organization and enhance the Direct and Indirect Procurement processes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This enabled us to define a detailed transformation roadmap for the S2P model, steering\u00a0the organization\u00a0towards long-term success.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n One of the first initiatives that came out of the operating model assessment was a strategic sourcing review.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Using client data, we pinpointed areas with the greatest potential for benefit, then standardized,\u00a0consolidated, and aggregated categories, vendors, and\u00a0purchases\u00a0accordingly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n By conducting a thorough analysis of sourcing strategy and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders, we are paving the way for remarkable results. We\u00a0anticipate\u00a0average savings of 15% (approximately 3 million CAD) in new supplier contracts for indirect spend categories\u2014such as spare parts and packaging\u2014over a three-year period. These savings result in more favorable terms and stronger supplier relationships, all while\u00a0leveraging\u00a0the current ERP infrastructure.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This project underscores our commitment to\u00a0innovate\u00a0and excel in strategic sourcing.\u00a0The client\u00a0was highly satisfied with the guidance provided and the project\u2019s expedited payback.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Another initiative from the S2P roadmap was the successful S2P automation project.\u00a0Again\u00a0leveraging the current ERP infrastructure, we developed seamless, automated workflows for receipt and shipping processes to ensure near real-time transactions\u2014even at sites where ERP access is limited by operational constraints.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This automation initiative is expected to\u00a0eliminate\u00a0manual and repetitive tasks, reduce errors, and significantly improve processing times.
