The SAP implementation project at this major player marks a key milestone in the company’s digital transformation. The full rollout is now complete, following several successful deployment waves.
The second-to-last wave, which took place over 11 months, involved more than 50 internal and external resources working together to ensure a smooth and efficient ERP implementation. Thanks to this multidisciplinary team, we successfully deployed SAP across more than 40 sites in the United States and Canada, integrating a combination of key modules such as MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), SD (Sales and Distribution), TM (Transportation Management), FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), and QM (Quality Management).
In total, more than 250 users were trained and took part in the go-live during this wave, marking a major shift in their daily processes. This deployment enabled the company to centralize its operations, streamline data management, and improve visibility across all activities, while ensuring business continuity throughout the transition.
Given the large volume of sites and data to integrate during this wave, a double Go-Live approach was adopted. Within just two months, we orchestrated two go-live sequences. This method allowed for a single phase of preparation, exploration, and realization, followed by a split rollout — one sequence for each group of sites. Among the benefits of this approach were consistent management of resources and timelines, while reducing the risks associated with a large-scale deployment.
The success of this wave was the result of close collaboration between all stakeholders. Everyone played a critical role in making it happen, whether in planning, project management, system configuration and testing, or user training.
Subsequently, the final wave was recently completed with great success. In just 10 months, more than 250 additional users were trained and supported, with the contribution of over 50 internal and external resources, across the same strategic modules.
This wave integrated 40 additional sites, finalizing a vast digital transformation program carried out over several years.
This final wave represents a collective and defining victory for the company: the complete standardization of operations across all sites.
We mark the conclusion of this project on-time, underbudget, in quality.
Several waves. One complete transformation.
A summit reached, thanks to a united team.
A huge congratulations to all the teams involved in this final ascent.
