The DBC Academy: A Look Back at the Master Data Management SAP Bootcamp
Once again this year, DBC and its collaborators held the SAP Training Academy, this time with the team from Deschênes Group. This family-owned company, in business since 1940, holds a significant place in Quebec as a distributor and wholesaler of plumbing, heating, and protection products.
The idea behind the Academy is to help organizations deepen their knowledge on various topics related to the SAP data ecosystem. These customized training sessions, delivered directly on-site at the client’s premises, offer concrete tools to optimize data usage.
These four days of intensive training brought together around twenty participants, including the Master Data Management (MDM) teams and business functional analysts from Deschênes Group. This edition provided an opportunity to deepen their understanding of SAP master data structures related to sales and purchasing modules, material master data, and business partner data within SAP S/4 SD and MM modules.
Through case studies, customized examples, and shared experiences and expertise, the Deschênes Group team was able to fully engage with the subject and learn the essential foundations of SAP master data structure. These four days also helped strengthen the relationship with our valued client and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their success.
New this year: SCP training (Supply Chain Planning)
In addition to the training offered through the Academy, DBC is launching two new courses focused on supply chain planning: Introduction to SAP Planning Concepts and Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
These learning sessions are designed to deepen participants’ knowledge of SAP master data and supply chain planning. Each course will offer an introduction to key concepts, a review of the essential SAP transaction fields, practical exercises, case studies, and tailored tips relevant to each participant’s professional context.
Through accessible and practical teaching, our goal is to help you better understand the concept of master data and its impact within the SAP S/4 system. Following these courses, you will have the knowledge needed to strengthen your master data, support your organization’s ambitions, and equip your MDM and business teams — all with the ultimate goal of having high-quality data for informed decision-making.
